We landed in Los Angeles on a stunning sunny morning, after finally getting out of the airport we made our way to Venice beach. We stayed a few days here enjoying the beach, and surrounds while getting used to another country. We have been to LA before, and were keen to head south to have a look around San Diego. We picked up a rental car and on the way down we stopped in at San Clemente where the biggest second hand surfboard shop in the world is located. Glen picked out one board out of 800 on offer, not a easy task! So he was set up and chomping to get into a few waves. While we were in Venice Beach we applied for a house sit with Monica and Gabe looking after their house and two lovely dogs in San Diego. Chica and Hunter were fun to hang out with for the weekend and we really enjoyed having some dog time again.
After we finished the house sit we stayed in the area for another week, looking for a vehicle to take south to Mexico. It was really difficult as there wasn’t any suitable and the ones that did suit our needs were really expensive. We decided to take a flight to Cabo San Lucas and spend a few weeks checking out the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula.
You did well to et a house sit just like that.
Turned out ok not to get the vehicle then then? Thanks very much xx
